Karen Browder, originally from Michigan, began her career working as a Civil Clerk in the Court System, handling all civil claims including landlord-tenant actions, foreclosures, small claims and contractual disputes.
The contacts made during her civil service led to her property management and real estate career. Working first in the apartment industry, leasing, bookkeeping, management both on-site and off-site and then on to real estate development of condominium projects, management and accounting. In 1984 Karen obtained her Florida Real Estate License which remains active today.
Specializing in bank owned properties as a Realtor, Karen worked directly for lenders that had foreclosed on properties and needed a local agent to manage, maintain and sell their homes and condominiums.
After joining Ameri-Tech Realty in 2002 as a Realtor, she was approached in 2004 by Mike Perez to assist in the accounting department of Ameri-Tech Community Management. After becoming proficient in the accounting software and the expansion of Ameri-Tech community Management, in 2007 she became a partner and principal in the Ameri-Tech Companies.
As CFO, Karen supervises the accounting department and is available to assist board members, especially treasurers, to more proficiently understand their financial statements and answer any questions they may have regarding their association finances and budgeting.
