Scott McEnelly utilized his associate degree in Social Service Technology and Law Enforcement as a Corrections Supply Supervisor in Illinois for over 25 years. Upon his retirement, he moved to Florida in 2002.
Since returning to work in 2006, Scott has been an on-site manager for a condominium community of 396 units. His duties include maintenance of the property, budget review, dealing with vendors and vendor bids, and inspecting the property on a regular basis. When necessary, Scott writes to homeowners requesting compliance with the Deed Restrictions. He is also responsible for the direct personnel supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff as well as security staff. He works directly with the association attorney on liens, foreclosures and collection. He also acts as the Board of Directors designated “landlord” for the association owned units which includes interviewing prospective tenants, making them aware of the association’s governing documents and answering their questions.
In Scott’s out of the office hours he remains “on duty” by fielding and resolving emergencies such as water leaks or entry gate troubleshooting. The residents have expressed their confidence and trust in Scott and report that he is professional yet personable.
